Alex Altshuler

Alex serves District 3 as Chief of Staff, drawing on experience in constituent services, policy development, and office strategy built through her work in both current and previous roles, including District Director for D3. She is committed to strengthening the connection between City Hall and community needs.
Alex is originally from Southern California and studied non-governmental organizations, social change, and economics at the University of Southern California. During her time at USC, she also spent a semester in Madrid, deepening her Spanish language studies. he later moved to Seattle to earn her Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington’s Evans School, focusing on social policy analysis and public finance. During graduate school, she partnered with the Seattle Information Technology Department on a consultancy report exploring funding strategies for Digital Equity initiatives.
Outside the office, Alex enjoys Seattle’s concert scene, hiking, and settling in with a good book and her cat.
Nina Park

A proud Seattle native, Husky Alum, and District 7 constituent, Nina Park served as the Policy Director to former Councilmember Tanya Woo as well as clerk to the Sustainability, Seattle City Light, Arts & Culture committee. She has also served in leadership positions throughout the City of Seattle in departments such as Transportation, City Light, and in two mayoral administrations.
Nina received her B.A. from University of Washington, and her EMPA at Evan’s School of Public Policy & Governance (Cohort ’18). Prior to working in local government, Nina was a bartender for many years and bartended in Italy and Amsterdam to fund her travels in Europe. Her exposure and experiences with vastly different groups, mixed with her own lived experiences as a daughter of immigrants and small business owners, fuels her passion to make local government accessible to everyone.
Nina is an Institute of a Democratic Future alum (class of 2019), and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Korean American Coalition.
Cameron Yonan

Cameron was born and raised in Wisconsin and has worked in legislative affairs, lobbying, and community organizing. They joined the Seattle City Council from the Wisconsin State Assembly and from GSAFE, an LGBTQ+ education nonprofit.
Cameron earned their masters in Public Administration from the Evans School, where they focused on social policy and international development while TAing for undergraduates. Cameron also earned a bachelor from the University of Wisconsin in Political Science and Public Policy.
