Join us in caring for and appreciating Seattle's trees:

For all events: All ages and skill levels are welcome! Please wear clothing that can get dirty, including long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toed shoes. We’ll be working rain or shine, so everyone is encouraged to bring rain gear if the weather forecast says chance of rain. We’ll be providing the tools, gloves, snacks and water. We hope you’ll join us! 

MLK Weekend Tree Stewardship 
Saturday, January 17 
The Greenline site, Rainier Beach Neighborhood 
10am-1pm 
Come care for trees and a beloved greenspace in Rainier Beach along the Chief Sealth Trail in partnership with Seattle City Light and Seattle Public Utilities. We will introduce some basics of pruning trees and shrubs, cut back vegetation from pathways, remove weeds and restore mulch to this greenspace. Registration is appreciated. 

Community Tree Planting Skill Share
Saturday, January 31 
Juneau / Longfellow Creek: Meet at the intersection of 25th Ave SW and SW Juneau St (one block West of Delridge Wy SW)
10am-1pm 
Join Trees for Neighborhoods and Dirt Corps for our first tree care skill share and volunteer work party along Longfellow Creek for 2026. This work party will include a skill share about how to plant trees and native shrub species, with opportunities to do so in this special riparian ecosystem! Registration is appreciated.

Webster Pond: Green space across the street from Home Depot on Webster Street

Want to show some extra love to our Seattle Forest this Valentine's Day? Join Trees for Neighborhoods and Dirt Corps for our first tree care skill share and volunteer work party at the lovely Webster Pond. This work party will include a skill share about how to plant trees and native shrub species, with opportunities to do so in this special wetland ecosystem! Registration is appreciated. 

Tree and Shrub Pruning Skill Share

Meadowbrook Pond: Meet just up the trail from the end of 36th Ave NE (10700 36th Ave NE)
10am-1pm 
Join Trees for Neighborhoods and Dirt Corps for our first tree care skill share and volunteer work party at Meadowbrook Pond for 2026. This work party will include a skill share about how to prune trees and shrubs and time spent caring for the mature trees in this special wetland ecosystem! Registration is appreciated. 

The Green Seattle Partnership hosts volunteer events almost daily across the City and is a collaboration between the City of Seattle, community groups and non-profits, businesses, schools, and thousands of volunteers working together to restore and actively maintain the City's forested parklands. Check out the Green Seattle website and their calendar of volunteer events and signup to support Seattle's forested natural areas.
