The Therapy Fund Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to eliminating barriers to mental health care and advancing equitable access to healing. We provide free therapy vouchers to youth ages 13–24 who live or attend school in the City of Seattle, connecting them with culturally responsive, licensed clinicians from our curated provider directory.
Our model centers choice, dignity, and accessibility. Participants select their own therapist after completing free consultations, ensuring the right fit for their mental health journey. Once eligibility is confirmed, we issue vouchers directly to providers so youth can begin therapy without financial burden.
In addition to therapy services, we offer peer support services led by trained peer support specialists with lived experience. Peer support provides one-on-one and group-based emotional support, mentorship, and connection to community resources, creating an additional layer of healing and belonging.

How to enroll: |
Enrollment Process for Free Mental Health Services 1. Review Our Provider Directory Visit our online directory and identify 3–5 therapists you are interested in working with. 2. Schedule Free Consultations Contact the selected providers directly to schedule free consultations to determine the best fit. 3. Select Your Therapist After completing consultations, choose the provider you would like to work with. 4. Submit Your Application Complete our program application and be sure to select the name of the provider you chose. Eligibility requirements: Youth must be ages 13–24 and live or attend school in the City of Seattle. 5. Application Review & Provider Verification Our team reviews your application for eligibility. We then contact your selected provider to verify that you completed a consultation and are ready to begin services. 6. Voucher Issuance Once the provider confirms, vouchers are issued within 1–3 business days, allowing therapy to begin right away.

Enrollment wait time: |
Our wait time largely depends on the applicant’s provider selection and the provider’s response time. Before applying, applicants are required to review our provider directory and schedule free consultations with 3–5 clinicians of their choice. After completing consultations and selecting a therapist, the applicant submits their application and indicates their chosen provider. Once the application is received, we review eligibility (youth ages 13–24 who live or attend school in the City of Seattle). Upon approval, we email the selected provider to verify that the client has completed a consultation and intends to begin services. After the provider confirms, vouchers are issued immediately so therapy can begin. Typically, vouchers are sent within 1–3 business days following the consultation, depending on how quickly the provider responds to verification. |
