We are repairing and rebuilding the Garfield Street retaining wall and stairway between Taylor Avenue N and 5th Avenue N. We'll be fixing the retaining wall first and then upgrading the stairway.
This project is part of our Stairway Maintenance Program.
The public easement features a pathway across the parking access drive and provides a connection down to Taylor Avenue.
Why Are We Doing This?
The existing concrete stair is bordered by a pair of structurally failing rock retaining walls. The walls and stair will be demolished and replaced with new construction. The public easement features a pathway across the parking access drive and provides a connection down to Taylor Avenue.
